RECAP: #CAP Event on Financial Planning for College

Earlier this month, Target III and #CAP hosted a joint event on the importance of financial planning for college. The first session featured Rosa Higgins of the Urban League of Essex County and Tamara Brown of New Community Corporation. Key points from their session discussed savings, budgeting, sound credit and long term financial planning. The second session focused on how families can apply important savings and credit basics to the student financial aid application process. Rho Gamma Omega chapter member Ornella Yovo reviewed various forms of aid and how sound credit can decide important aspects of the loan process. RECAP: Caring For The Caregiver

On Saturday, November 16, 2019, Rho Gamma Omega Chapter, in recognition of Care for the Caregivers Day, in partnership with the AACT-Now African –American Advisory of the New Jersey National Alliance of Mental Illness, held an informative program on the seven dimensions of wellness in a workshop led by Ms. Jessica Phipps. The interactive event challenged participants to consider deficits in their own self-care routines and create an action plan to establish better habits. Thank you to all who attended.
